Once again we are able to provide limited funding to committed individuals seeking to progress further in their sport or recreational pursuits.

Support is provided towards fees, equipment, kit, training and travelling expenses. A full Application Form must be completed and applicants must live within the old Tiverton Borough boundary.

The Grant Window opens on 1st June and closes on 30th June. The Trustees will consider all applications during July.

Trust supports talented sisters at British swimming champs

Two talented swimmers from Tiverton shared a pool with World and Olympic champions such as Adam Peaty, James Wilbey and Tom Dean this April, as Jodie and Gemma Dilks from Tiverton travelled to Sheffield to swim in the British Swimming Championships at the Ponds Forge International pool.

Recipients of a Trust grant in 2021, Jodie and Gemma qualified to race in 6 events each at the Championships - Gemma in the 200m & 400m Individual Medley, 50m and 200m Breaststroke, and 800m and 1500m Freestyle. Jodie raced in the 200m & 400m Individual Medley, 50m, 100m and 200m Breaststroke and 50m fly.

Youth Club is a 'net winner'

Sunningmead Youth Club in Tiverton celebrated this month after a member of the Youth Club received a grant from the Tiverton Recreational Trust, which was then I used to buy a new volleyball net for the Club.

Trust gives Dave a vital helping hand

“A big thank you for the funding towards a vital piece of hockey safety equipment, a new helmet. By shopping around I found a company in the Netherlands, Verbunt Hockey, who could supply the high spec Finnish made helmet on budget.
